Jewellery Care

It is important to me that you get the most of your jewellery. I'm hoping this will be an item you treasure forever.

Your jewellery should be the last thing you put on each day and the first thing you take off. Showering, applying perfume, moisturiser and make up while wearing jewellery can lead to discolouration and tarnishing, due to the chemicals used in these products.

It is also advisable to take your jewellery off when swimming or when doing any heavy duty activities – e.g. at the gym or gardening.

When you're not wearing your jewellery, it is best to store it in a sealed, acid free jewellery box or bag. Silver, gold plated silver, and gold will all tarnish if constantly left exposed to the elements, but this can be prevented if stored carefully.

Always avoid submerging pearls in water for too long, as the lustre will diminish.

If you find your jewellery needs a deeper clean, I'm happy to do this for you free of charge, you just need to pay for special delivery to get the item to and from the workshop. Please get in touch if you would like to request this.
